As she was quietly parked in her garage in Miami, a Bugatti Chiron suffered impressive damage. It was allegedly set on fire on purpose.

Two videos published by the supercar.fails instagram account show the consequences of the fire on the French hypercar. We see next to him a Ferrari of which only the tarpaulin seems to have been hit by the fire. Luckily its body does not look damaged.

Costly repairs to be expected

The Chiron on the other hand will have to go back to Molsheim in order to be repaired. It is the right side that is the most burnt. The hood needs to be changed just like the fender, the rim and the tire. (which will also lead to the change of the other front tire). The damage does not stop there since the door is also to be changed.

All this is only the visible part on the video. With the heat having notably melted the window on the driver’s side, there is a good chance that seals and parts will also need to be replaced. The disc and the brake pads in the damaged wheel, although used to high temperatures, must not have appreciated this special treatment.

A known Chiron

If nothing has been confirmed, it would appear that the Chiron belongs to singer El Alfa. An identical car appears in one of these clips as well as in several of his instagram posts.

The fire is probably of criminal origin. Fortunately, someone managed to extinguish the flames before they completely devoured the Bugatti Chiron and its 1500 hp quad-turbo W16.
