The Munich trade fair is approaching! We take stock of the novelties presented by BMW, which will play at home.
This year theIAA, usually in Frankfurt, is relocated to Munich. Good news for BMW, which is now playing at home! And that’s good, the propeller brand has many new products to present to its public. We toured the BMW stand, one month before the show!
Unsurprisingly, and like many manufacturers at this Munich show, BMW is going to put the package on the electric. We will therefore find the two main novelties of the brand: the i4 sedan and the iX SUV.
BMW iX: The SUV will probably be the star at the BMW booth. With its daring design and sleek interior, it is the flagship of the Bavarian manufacturer’s electric range. With more than respectable autonomy (announced up to 630 km on the iX xDrive 50), and prices not so far from the competition – notably Tesla – it could well score big points against the German public.
BMW i4: the strength of the i4 is that it is almost alone in its segment. More luxurious than a Tesla Model 3 but less expensive than a Model S or its German rivals (Audi e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan), it takes the look of the Series 4 but in sedan format. BMW promises a autonomy WLTP the 590 km on the i4 eDrive40, and prices are at the level of the Series 3 plug-in hybrid.
SUVs well present
We know that SUVs are the best-selling vehicles today, even when we are called BMW. All the more reason to welcome this novelty to the Munich fair
BMW X3 and X4 : the X3 SUV and its X4 coupé version were recently restyled. The grille grows, the headlights are refined, and the taillights are a little more aggressive. Everything is now much more in line with the rest of the range. The interior is now reminiscent of the new 4 Series, while the two petrol engines gain from micro-hybridization.
A little sport anyway
Despite everything, BMW does not forget its sporting roots. We will therefore find on the stand of the Munich firm:
BMW 2 Series Coupe : just revealed, this sports coupe remains faithful to the propulsion. Not easy to navigate in the range “2” at BMW, but the game should be worth the candle, thanks to the 6-cylinder in-line 374 hp on the M240i xDrive version. While waiting for M2!
BMW X3 M and X4 M Competition : As on the normal versions, the X3 M and X4 M have been restyled. The X3 M SUV and the X4 M coupe version now go to 510 hp!
