The scene was filmed on a motorway in Wales (Great Britain) by a dashcam. At the beginning of the video, we can see that the car filming is being passed by a Ford Mondeo and a Mini chasing each other at high speed. According to South Wales Police, both vehicles were driven at 101 mph, or 160 km / h.

Spectacular sheer

Not only, the two cars drive way too fast, but in addition, they constantly go beyond themselves, making more and more gaps. The excitement increases between the drivers… and that of the Mini loses control of his vehicle, crosses the traffic lanes and hits the safety rail before rolling away. The scene is impressive because we see the airbags go off and all the contents of the car spill out onto the road.

Heavy consequences

Miraculously, the driver of the Mini escaped unscathed despite the violence of the accident. South Wales Police said both motorists were found guilty of dangerous driving following the incident. Aged 44 and 59, respectively, the drivers initially denied any wrongdoing, but then pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.

The owner of the Ford was sentenced to six months in prison and is deprived of his driver’s license for 18 months. That of the Mini, in addition to having lost his car, is deprived of the right to drive for 12 months and must also perform 150 hours of community service.
