At the Munich 2021 Motor Show, Volkswagen will present the ID.5 GTX, its new 100% electric coupe SUV, in the form of a colorful camouflage concept car.
New Volkswagen ID.5 GTX 100% electric is none other than the coupe version of the SUV Volkswagen ID.4 GTX, which will be presented to the public at the upcoming IAA Munich auto show, in the form of a camouflaged concept car and colorful.
Based on the modular MEB platform of the German group, the new ID.5 GTX has both fluid and powerful lines, and highlights its technology with in particular Matrix LED front headlamps “IQ.Light”, whose light signature in honeycomb shape extends horizontally towards the Volkswagen logo. The very dynamic lines of the model end at the rear with a discreet integrated spoiler in the lower part of the tailgate.
This new ID.5 bears the GTX acronym, synonymous with electric sportiness at Volkswagen, with an electric motor installed on each of the axles. The Wolfsburg firm has not yet released its technical sheet, but it’s a safe bet that it will be close to that of the ID.4 GTX, strong of 299 horsepower and equipped with all-wheel drive. The set is coupled to a 77 kWh battery located between the two axles, offering a range up to 497 km.
New Volkswagen ID.5 GTX 100% electric as well as all the news of the Volkswagen group will be on display at the future Munich Motor Show, to be held from September 7 to 12, 2021. To commercialization is planned for the beginning of the year 2022.
