Kline Innovation has developed a specific exhaust line for the new Porsche 911, in order to give it back the soul of the models of yesteryear.
With its 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, the latest Porsche 911 Carrera (Type 992) no longer has quite the same sonic soul as the previous models with a naturally aspirated engine. Indeed, the new standards concerning the pollution and the noise level of the vehicles made the task much more difficult for the manufacturers, and it is nothing in front of the surge of electric models which awaits us.
To remedy this, the Romanians at Kline Innovation are proposing a new custom exhaust system for the new 911, designed with Inconel: a specific metal alloy, used for example in the exhaust lines of Formula 1.
The Kline Innovation Inconel Valvetronic exhaust system designed for the Porsche 911 Carrera (Type 992) features a specific X-shaped design, and customers can opt for a specific HJS catalyst, or complete catalyst removal. A system called Valvetronic also makes it possible to close the valves actives
, when you want more discretion, while carbon exhaust cannulas complete the overall aesthetic.Compared to the original silencer, the sound is transformed, as we can see from this video of the system in action:
The exhaust line proposed by Kline Innovation also allows a saving of 40 horsepower and 55 Nm of torque thanks to the removal of the catalyst, and engine reprogramming is also offered, in order to gain some 80 horses additional.
Kline Innovation also offers solutions to improve the sound of the exhausts of other Porsche models such as the 911 Type 991, 996, 997 or even the 718 Cayman, as well as for sports cars from Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Nissan, Aston Martin, McLaren, or even Mercedes.
