Purchased in 1992 and equipped by Tom Hanks himself, this Airstream Model 34 caravan was for almost 30 years not only his refuge during filming, but also served as a place where he met his friends, colleagues and crews, to pass by. moments of relaxation after busy days: “I didn’t want anything other than the kitchen and the bathroom, so there was only a desk and a closet in the back, a futon on the floor and room for a small table and chairs. . I also wanted a regular sofa, so I made one with removable legs so that it went through the door ”, testifies the American actor.

The model will be delivered with all its accessories and furniture, including dishes, glasses, espresso machines, kitchen equipment as well as comfortable chairs and a teak table. The standard equipment of the Airstream 34 Limited Excella 1000 includes, among other things, air conditioning, water heater and blinds. But some small nuggets will also be provided with, like autographs of Tom Hanks on board, as well as replicas of movie claps paying tribute to the film shoots where this caravan was present: from “White Nights in Seattle” in 1993 to “The Circle” in 2017, including “Forrest Gump” (1994) and “Sully” (2016).

Tom Hanks’ Airstream trailer will go up for auction without reservation, and its value is estimated at between $ 150,000 and $ 250,000 (the equivalent of 127,800 to 213,000 euros).
