Renault will be present at the Düsseldorf 2021 show, with a new concept of high-end motorhomes, on display alongside an Estafette motorhome.
The health constraints, confinements and repeated restrictions have created new desires for escape among the French: Renault has understood this and wants to ride the new wave of motorhomes. The diamond manufacturer will be present at the Düsseldorf Motor Show, where it will present a new high-end converted van concept, based on its new Renault Trafic utility vehicle: the Hippie Caviar Hotel.
The concept is adorned with colors and natural materials, as evidenced by the outer dress, associating a glittery “Almond Flakes” sea green with a more traditional “Anodized Silver” gray. The interior styling has also been taken care of like a 5-star hotel, with a dashboard covered in leather, exotic wood, natural fibers such as linen and wool, vegetal moss, as well as trim inspired by the Japanese “washi” style.
There is a bench that transforms into a 145 x 195 cm bed, which can be placed outside or inside the vehicle. Indeed, the model wants to be open to the outside, with curtains to protect against bad weather around the tailgate in the open position. The model’s “roof terrace” has a coffee table and two removable backrests, accessible by an extractable ladder.
Renault has also imagined high-end connected services, also inspired here by the luxury hotel industry, which can be supplied with the model: delivery of a container to the location of your choice including a shower, toilets, or even an electric charging station, concierge services with delivery direct by drone, or the provision of bicycles.
This model should not result in a production version as is, but according to Arnaud Belloni, Renault Marketing Director: “This Renault show car announces major projects”. The Renault Hippie Caviar Hotel concept will be exhibited at the Düsseldorf Motorhome Show, which will be held from August 27 to September 5, 2021, alongside a Renault Estafette Camping-car from 1977.
