The Audi Q5 e-tron (2021) has been unveiled in photos on the other side of the globe. The electric SUV is intended for the Chinese market and, like the VW ID.6, it is based on the modular e-drive (MEB) system.
the Volkswagen group continues its launches of electric vehicles specific to China. This time it’s the turn of theAudi Q5 e-tron (2021) to see the light of day.
As part of its marketing in China, the Q5 e-tron will be unveiled in three different versions, which could produce 179 ch (132 kW, 35 e-tron) et 204 ch (150 kW, 40 e-tron), as well as 306 ch (225 kW, 50 e-tron).
Just like theID.6, its counterpart at Volkswagen, it will also be based on the modular e-drive system (MEB). The most powerful version is equipped with all-wheel drive thanks to two electric motors. The energy of the Q5 e-tron will be supplied by a battery of 82 kWh. According to the Chinese consumption cycle, this should make it possible to achieve autonomy of 588 kilometers.
If the Audi Q5 e-tron is so close to the ID.6, it is because we can see it in particular by its performance figures but also by the dimensions of the electric SUV: it would have a wheelbase of 2.96 meters
for a length of 4.87 meters long. The appearance ofAudi Q5 e-tron (2021) fits perfectly into the e-tron family. Much like the Q4 e-tron, the electric Q5 sports a large closed grille that connects to the narrow headlights with a black surround.
The air intakes are located in front of the front wheels and, below, a spoiler closes the lower part of the front bumper. The rear is also designed similarly to that of the Q4 e-tron. A light strip connects the two rear lights.
Judging by the first photos, the Q5 e-tron will also be available with a panoramic glass roof.
On the other hand, we do not yet know the price final. If we take the Q4 e-tron as a first estimate, the price of the Audi Q5 e-tron (2021) could start at the equivalent of a little over 40 000 euros.
