Here is the complete TV guide of the 89th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans which will be contested this week in the Sarthe from August 14 to 22, 2021.

This year, the 24 hours of Le Mans will take place during the third week for the month of August, a first in the history of the event!

A 2021 edition with spectators

It is this Saturday, August 21, at 4 p.m. that the start of the 89th edition of the event. On the legendary Sarthois circuit, along 13,629 km and composed of 38 turns, the competition will be thrilling!

While the 2020 edition had taken place behind closed doors, for obvious reasons of Covid, this year the Le Mans event will celebrate the big comeback of spectators with nearly 50,000 people expected.

For access to the stands, it will be done only on the presentation of a valid health pass or a test PCR Where antigenic negative dating less than 72 hours. As a bonus, free places for young people under 16 years old.

Finally, for all fans who do not have the leisure to move around the Sarthe to see the event on site, you must then turn to the different broadcasting media, on television or via the internet, to follow the entire event.

The broadcast on Eurosport 2 and the L’Equipe channel

For this 89th edition, there are changes regarding unencrypted retransmission. So it’s no longer via the group channels France Television that you have to look at the 24 Hours of Le Mans but from the Team Channel. The latter will be in charge of broadcasting all of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) rounds unencrypted until at least 2023.

There will only be a cut between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., with coverage of the 6 p.m. event anyway! Eurosport for its part, retains the rights to retransmission of the entire event, on its second pay channel.
