Midnight Purple and Millennium Jade: two iconic colors of the GT-R return to the delight of fans. The T-spec special series will be reserved for the Japanese and American markets with several exclusive modifications.
It has been almost 14 years since the Nissan GT-R generation R35 turns heads. And scares the fastest supercars in the world for a lower price and four real seats. So before saying goodbye with an extreme version, the Japanese manufacturer has split a T-spec limited series in homage to previous generations.
Take out the handkerchiefs, this Nissan GT-R T-spec will not be sold in Europe. Sad news since this specific version is based on the very latest version 2021 and acquires additional equipment. Nissan Japan confirmed that it would only be sold at home and in the United States. But whatever, the sedan can capture your attention thanks to its unique colors.
The ” Millenium Jade Was one of the rarest liveries on the R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nür. An ultra limited edition based on the famous Nürburgring track in Germany which had never crossed the Pacific Ocean when it came out. ” Midnight Purple Is the second color choice, which Nissan says is a “modern interpretation” of two previous purples. We find the Midnight Opal of another special edition released in 2014, and especially the Midnight Purple III of the famous Skyline R34 V-Spec.
This GT-R T-spec comes in two “finishes”: the Premium Edition and the Track Edition by Nismo (official preparer). The second is differentiated by specific chassis settings and several carbon fiber body parts (roof, trunk, etc.). Everything else is common with significant exterior improvements.
Both versions receive rims Rays in forged aluminum in a bronze or black finish. A braking system Brembo carbon-ceramic has also been added. The fenders have also been widely widened while we find a rear spoiler in carbon fiber to make the GT-R more aggressive. T-spec badges are also scattered around the car and in the passenger compartment. The latter welcomes a new color ” Mori Green With lots of leather, suede and Alcantara.
On the other hand, the T-spec does not benefit from any mechanical improvement. We always find the V6 3.8 biturbo from 570 ch coupled with the all-wheel drive dear to Nissan. Also featured is the six-speed dual-clutch transmission, which is starting to date.
Finally, Nissan does not announce official figures but this GT-R should only be produced at a maximum of a hundred copies. Did you say to climb its hill? Certainly. Americans and Japanese will be able to afford this limited edition for around 140 000 $ with an order book that will open in mid-October.
