these 10 cars whose value will explode in Europe!

Are you looking for the future pearl on occasion? A study spotted 10 models whose value is expected to climb soon!

Sometimes buying a used car can be a lottery: its resale value can collapse, or, on the contrary, explode. Even if it means driving “for free” for a few years thanks to the capital gain on resale, even to make a profit!

But now, very smart who can predict what the used car market will do, especially in a post-Covid troubled period and which is making great strides towards electric. To try to see more clearly, the specialists in the analysis of used cars CarVertical have published a study, based on data from hundreds of thousands of cars that are analyzed by their services. Experts have selected 10.

This ranking should be taken with a grain of salt, as it is established at European level. There is therefore no question of the Crit’Air sticker, or of the availability of these models, two criteria which have a major impact on the value of the car. This top 10 is not presented in a particular order either: it’s up to you to choose the one that will make you fall for it!

The 10 cars that should increase in value

  • Alfa Romeo GTV (1993 – 2004): the pretty Alfa coupe is relatively inexpensive today, and the V6 Busso versions are highly sought after!
  • Audi V8 (1988 – 1993): a little forgotten today, this Audi, the predecessor of the A8, still has great assets to showcase.
  • BMW 5 Series E34 (1987 – 1996): the E34 marks the arrival of the V8 on the 5 Series, and its very classic style is still very popular.
  • Jaguar XK8 (1996 – 2006): this descendant of the Type E today presents a very good price / performance ratio, and a unique line!
  • Land Rover Defender Series 1 & 2 (1948 – 1971): the first Defenders are rare today in good condition and already expensive in France. But if you find the pearl, don’t let go!
  • Mercedes E-Class W124 (1992 – 1996): reliable, widespread, and well known, the E-Class W124 is now on the way to becoming an icon.
  • Saab 9000 CS Aero (1993 – 1997): for offbeat driving, sometimes nothing beats a Saab!
  • Toyota Land Cruiser J80 & J100 (1990 – 2007): unbreakable, adventurous and comfortable, the Land Cruiser has forged a reputation. But they are difficult to find in France.
  • Volkswagen Corrado VR6 (1991 – 1995): in line with the Scirocco, this small coupe can also be very efficient in the VR6 version.
  • Volvo 740 Turbo (1986 – 1990): the famous Swedish brick bought a high-performance Turbo version! It is unfortunately almost impossible to find today.
