a first photo of the sedan still camouflaged

Skoda continues the teasers on its future Slavia, a small sedan designed for the Indian market, with a new photo of the model still camouflaged.

After the Kushaq presented last spring, the Skoda Slavia is the second model of the Czech manufacturer designed for the Indian market, within the strategic plan “India 2.0” which provides for the launch in India of about thirty vehicles for all the brands of the group.

To follow the first teaser published a few days ago where we discovered the silhouette of the model in the twilight, Skoda unveils today a first photo of his new small sedan, still strongly camouflaged and currently during road tests, before its official presentation.

We discover a sedan with compact lines, which embeds the distinctive elements of the brand’s latest productions, such as its imposing grille and tapered headlights. But the Skoda Slavia also seems be inspired by the world of SUVs, with marked wheel arches as well as a raised ground clearance

Skoda Slavia (2022): camouflage resulting from a design competition

L’important colorful camouflage However, there is still an element of mystery in the lines of the new model: this camouflage is the result of a design competition entitled « Camouflage with Skoda », which received more than 200 entries.

The big winner is Shreyas Karambelkar, a designer from Badlapur, Maharashtra state, India, and his design was printed on the Slavia camouflage. This colorful camouflage uses warm hues, as well as peacock and lotus flower patterns, which represent Indian culture, while evoking Cubism and Czech glass art.

The future Skoda Slavia, which will be unveiled in a few weeks, will be produced in india in the factory in Pune, in the west of the country, and will be marketed in 2022.
