The luxury brand of Mercedes has announced the future arrival of a 100% electric concept! See you on December 1 to find out more.
After making an impression at the last Munich Motor Show, Mercedes continues its offensive for new products and concept cars. The brand has just announced the upcoming arrival of a new showcar for its Maybach luxury division. See you on December 1st!
In detail, this concept car will be 100% electric and will not be based on an existing platform. There is therefore no question of seeing an evolution of the Maybach EQS concept, unveiled in Munich in September. The car in question should be quite extravagant, since unveiled as part of the contemporary art festival Art Basel Miami Beach. Above all, it will be the result of a collaboration between Mercedes and Virgil Abloh.
Abloh is a famous artist, an architect by training but above all a fashion designer, at Louis Vuitton and his brand Off-White. He had already collaborated with the star brand in 2020, by creating a unique Mercedes G-Class Nascar style. We are therefore eagerly awaiting this new concept car, even if it could not lead to any production car. Mercedes indeed announced that the show car would not be ” linked to existing plans“, But was intended to” become the emblem of a new era of discovery« .
Maybach, now re-integrated into Mercedes, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. But when approaching the electric turn, the luxury brand only has two models, thermal in addition: the SUV GLS Maybach and the S-Class Maybach. Normal therefore that the manufacturer attacks on all fronts, with this concept of course but also theupcoming arrival of a Maybach EQS SUV, 100% electric.
