He tells the policeman that he was not speeding, but his GoPro shows him driving even faster than his initial accusation.
This clip was recently shared by California police on their Facebook page. It first shows an officer chatting with a biker. The latter having driven at 144 km/h (90 mph), he was arrested for speeding.
At the beginning of the video, we can see the policeman asking for his papers (driver’s license and insurance) from the biker who refuses, repeatedly asking if he can explain himself. He ends up complying after the agent explains to him that he will let him speak once the papers are presented.
The motorcyclist then claims not to have committed a speeding violation and indicates not have exceeded 98 km/h (61 mph)
. The policeman then quickly replies that he has indeed reached 144 km/h. The biker does not disassemble and claims to have the footage from his GoPro to prove it.The latter then appear on the screen and we actually see, just like the policeman at the time of viewing, that he was not driving at 144 km/h… but at 162 km/h (101 mph) !! If we do not know the sequence of events, there is no doubt that the biker had to pay a nice fine. Like what, it is better to always check his pictures before editing them or posting them on social networks!
