Le Monaco Historic Grand Prix fortunately was not marked only by the poor man’s exit from the track Charles Leclerc. Other legendary cars were also able to let off steam in the urban landscape of Monaco’s Rocher. As always, these vehicles that have marked the history of the discipline as well as their renowned driver have provided us with spectacular images. This is particularly the case of Jacky Ickx at the wheel of his 1971 Ferrari!

A legendary carriage…

The Ferrari 312 B2 competed over two seasons: 1971 and 1972. She is powered by a 12-cylinder flat engine developing a whopping 470 hp and capable of climbing beyond 12,000 rpm! A real symphony! Unfortunately, it was not the most successful single-seater of the prancing horse manufacturer. It has only 3 victories to its credit, including two already registered at the time by the Belgian driver!

Perhaps even more legendary than his car!

Despite his 77 springwe can say that the Belgian with an incredible track record always has a hell of a kick! And what could be more logical when you count no less than 8 victories in Formula 1 and 6 triumphs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans! Without forgetting his victory in Paris-Dakar in 1983. In short, racing and the automobile, Jacky Ickx has that in his blood. So, when such a legend takes the wheel of his own car in Monaco, we watch and we learn!
