Peugeot 208 (2024): what we already know

Restyled in 2024, the Peugeot 208 reveals its first info. Discover everything we already know about the city car with the lion.

It has already been three years since the current generation of the Peugeot 208 was officially launched at the Geneva Motor Show, at the same time as its rival, the Renault Clio. A new version that caused a stir, as it adopted a completely new design, consistent with the rest of the range. On the program, a much more aggressive facies, with its fang-shaped front lights, and its more modern lines. New engines had also appeared, including a new electric version, called e-208. But more than three years later, it’s now time for the city car to treat itself to a slight mid-career restyling, which should arrive in the course of 2024. Find out what we already know about it .

A new style

If nothing has yet been officially announced, the Peugeot 208 should change its style, without changing radically. According to the first sounds of corridors, the city car should then be very strongly inspired by its big sister, the Peugeot 308, and take over certain aesthetic elements. At the rear, however, the changes should be relatively discreet, probably mainly relating to the shield and the lights. Nothing has yet been announced on the interior, which should change little, the big changes being usually reserved for new generations. A few small adjustments should be made, but no major revolution to be expected.

A sportier version?

In terms of engines, the Sochaux city car should also develop its range smoothly, no doubt now offering a small 48 volt hybridization on all of its heat engines. New electric versions could also see the light of day, including a variant revolving around 170 horsepower, although nothing is sure yet. It remains to be seen whether it will bear the name of PSE, an acronym for the time being only worn by the 508. Finally, it could be that the autonomy of the city car increases slightly.
