Practically 2 years after the announcement of the sedan and the coupe, the M3 derives for the first time in its history in station wagon bodywork! And it is not there to joke since it is already the fastest station wagon on the Nürburgring circuit.
Still within the framework of 50 years of its M divisionBMW finally lifts the veil on the very first break version of the M3! The Bavarian manufacturer has been producing M3s and 3 Series Tourings for more than 35 years, but these two concepts have never coexisted in the same vehicle… Until today! Say hello to the BMW M3 Competition M xDrive Touring of its exact name!

Unlike the sedan, only one version is available. She carries a 6-cylinder in line which develops 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque, an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. This impressive equipment allows him to reach the 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and to be the fastest station wagon on the Nürburgring with a time of 7 min 35 s 06. No manual on the program, but fortunately and as always with BMW, it is possible to send the power only to the rear axle!
Like in a 318i Touring, this M3 with its large trunk carries 500 liters of luggage and up to 1,510 liters once all the seats have been folded down! Impossible to equip this station wagon with a trailer hitch, in case you were wondering. But it’s not just her rear end that’s unique. This M3 Touring also features the new double panel discovered during the facelift of the 3 Series. As a reminder, it consists of a 12.3-inch screen in front of the driver and 14.9 in the center.
It weighs only 25 kg more than the sedan because of the reinforcements that had to be added to maintain body rigidity equivalent to that of the three-box. We suggest you hold a second of silence for our American friends where this M3 Touring will not be marketed… With us, on the other hand, the start of production is scheduled for November this year while prices start at €111,950.
