Last week on Hoonigan’s YouTube channel, a video was posted showing Hoonipigasus trying out to prepare for the Pikes Peak International race. Practice was held at Pueblo Motorsports Park. Perfect for simulation in various conditions. Beyond its 1,400 horsepower, it is one of the most anticipated cars on the track.
Pikes Peak International ? A legendary race in Colorado also known as “The race to the clouds”. This annual meeting has existed since the summer of 1916. It is a complicated race, but above all dangerous, on an asphalt road which climbs for 20 km, tortuous, sinuous with a hundred turns. What’s a supercar going to do there?
It’s certain ! Hoonipigasus is the car everyone is waiting for (at the turn?) for the next edition of Pikes Peak. It will hold a maximum of attention, in this case that of enthusiasts. It’s about of an old Porsche 911 completely transformed by Hoonigan Racing and Porsche expert BBi Autosport. She is endowed a 4.0L six-cylinder engine which generates an incredible 1,400 hp. Hoonipigasus is light. It weighs only 1,000 kg because most of its elements are made of carbon fiber. A real missile!

It was last May that Ken Block has announced that he will be driving Hoonipigasus when hundredth edition of Pikes Peak which will take place on June 26th. The name Hoonipigasus comes from the contraction of very important words for the pilot. Hoonigan is a team founded by him in 2010 for the WRC and Pig which refers to the famous Pink Pig,
a Porsche 917/20 which took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1971.I’m curious to know what the folks of Car Twitter have to say about the name “#Hoonipigasus” for Ken’s Porsche pic.twitter.com/GE2mgxP4ww

On Hoonigan’s YouTube channel, a video shows the first laps of the famous all-pink Porsche. These tests were held just outside of Colorado Springs, au Pueblo Motorsports Park. During these tests, several technical problems were noted. Luckily, that’s what trials are for! All technical issues will be resolved before D-Day, as pilot Ken Block claims in the video. We are ready for victory! See you on June 26.
