Toyota is preparing a new 100% electric sedanbaptized Toyota bZ3 : a series of photos showing the car in its entirety has leaked from the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, which regularly broadcasts photos of future models with a view to their approval in the Middle Kingdom.

The production Toyota bZ3 is almost identical to the Toyota bZ SDN concept, which was presented last year, among an extensive collection of 16 new electric concept cars from Toyota and Lexus.

Toyota bZ3: a futuristic style

This sedan is the second model of the “bZ” family (“Beyond Zero”) electric vehicles from Toyota, and spans 4.73 meters long, 1.84 meters wide and 1.48 meters high, all with a wheelbase of 2.88 meters.

In line with the Toyota bZ4X SUV, the bZ3 sedan adopts futuristic and clean lines, with a large windscreen as well as generous glass sections, which should bring pleasant light to the interior and increase the feeling of space, but also outward visibility.

Toyota bZ3: two electric motors

The photos also show a two-tone bZ3, with a white dress and black pillars and roof, which give it an even more refined appearance. The model also features flush door handles, 16-inch and 18-inch wheels, as well as a light signature that spans the full width of the car, both front and rear. .

Under the hood we should find two engines : a first version of 185 horsepoweras well as a more powerful second of 248 horsepower. According to the latest rumours, the LFP battery (lithium-iron-phosphate) “Blade” will be supplied by the Chinese manufacturer BYD, but the model is based on the TNGA platform de Toyota.

Toyota bZ3: launch at the end of the year

Inside, the emphasis should be on technology, with a large vertical central screen, complemented by a digital instrument cluster placed in front of the driver, but located at the base of the windscreen, to allow a reading “ head up”: a process that is reminiscent of the i-Cockpit of Peugeot models of the last decade.

The Toyota bZ3 will be officially presented at the Guangzhou Motor Show in the month of November 2022, before a marketing planned for the end of the year in China. No information has been confirmed for the moment about a launch of this new model in Europe.
