According to the Posternak-Ifop barometer, Peugeot remains the favorite French brand of respondents. But Renault is also starting to make good progress.

It is a small ritual now well known and expected by many. It’s about Posternak-Ifop barometer, published by La Matrice and the polling institute, which reveals the French brands most and least appreciated by respondents. They must then simply answer the following question: based on what you’ve heard about these big companies over the past few months, do you have a very good image of them, fairly good image, fairly bad image or very bad image? ». The brands are then simply ranked based on the responses. And the least we can say is that theautomobile industry continues to seduce, despite what our leaders want us to believe.

Indeed, according to the latest results, Peugeot is at the top of the ranking, since the manufacturer with the lion has a positive image for 84% of respondents. With an average image index of 72%, the brand is then placed just ahead of Leclerc (70%) and Michelin (70% also). Intermarché is at the bottom of the podium (69%), followed by Citroën (65%). If Renault had long been shunned, now the firm has made progress. It now finds itself in 8th position, gaining 10 places compared to last year. On the other hand, DS Automobiles does not appear in the list.

Only SFR and SNCF do even worse, with an index of 5 and 4% respectively. There is still progress to be made for these brands, which do not really have a good image with those surveyed…
