If you regularly use your car, you have probably noticed that many gas stations are empty. But beware, not all of them are affected. Indeed, most of them are those belonging to TotalEnergies. These are then for the most part completely closed, made inaccessible by cones or white and red ribbons. And the signs showing the prices of the different fuels are completely zero. But then, what explains this situation, when the other distributors are not affected by this problem? Don’t worry, we explain everything about it!

It has already been a month since the 30 cent discount was introduced. A rebate then arrived at the same time as that of 20 cents offered by TotalEnergies, which then made the brand’s stations cheaper than the others. Indeed, the two discounts are then cumulative. As a result, the French distributor’s pumps were stormed by motorists, to the point of creating shortages at some service stations. Nevertheless, these had always been replenished quickly so that all customers could be served.

Except that here, the employees of TotalEnergies started a strike, which prevented the stations from being again filled as it was necessary. That’s why most of them are now empty, and have been for several days. It will take a few more for the situation to return to normal everywhere. In the meantime, customers are falling back on other distributors, which are generally more expensive because they do not offer an additional discount.
