On its stand at the Paris Motor Show, Renault is highlighting the electrification of its range and its new weapon to reconquer the C segment: the Austral.
If there was a production model expected in recent months from the side of the French manufacturer, it is the Renault Austral E-Tech. The SUV, replacing the Kadjar, also marks a new stage of the Renaulution plan.
The vehicle offers a range of engines 100% hybridized (12V, 48V or self-charging hybrid). Three configurations are then possible:
With the latter, you can ride up to 80% of the time in electric in the city and drive until 130 km/h all-electric. To enhance the experience, you can customize your template with 32 driving aids.
After the launch of the new Megane E-Tech 100% electric and Arkana E-Tech full hybrid, the diamond manufacturer marks a new stage in Renaulution and completes its offer in the C segment with the new Austral E-Tech full hybrid. It is positioned as a premium SUV both outside and inside and reinforces the brand’s feeling of moving upmarket.
In addition, Renault Austral has du cockpit « OpenR ». The latter offers a total display area of 774 cm² including this 12 inch vertical touch screen. Perfectly integrated into the dashboard, it demonstrates unparalleled responsiveness and intuitiveness thanks to its Google environment.
With Renault Austral, the brand is also inaugurating for the first time the sporty look finish called « esprit Alpine » on one of its models and draws on the sporting DNA of its Alpine brand.
By giving the floor to Zineb, marketing director of Renault France, about the brand’s latest SUV, the message is clear. Renault Austral quite simply offers the best fuel consumption in its category.
As we explained to you above, with the motorization E-Tech full hybrid de 200 ch, announced consumption is 4.6 to 4.8 L per 100 km. Figures so far unequaled for a 200 hp engine.
Zineb ajoute: « We want the customer to fall in love with Renault Austral. We also want him to see, at first glance, the quality of finish of this new vehicle. »
Finally, the marketing director tells us a little more about the marketing of Renault Austral. The hybrid SUV will arrive in the network from November for deliveries scheduled for the following month, in December.
For almost two years now and the announcement of its “Renaulution” electrification plan, the French manufacturer keeps its promise. Renault was one of the first to go electric.
