Find out what the third-generation Peugeot 408, Peugeot’s new Coupe SUV, looks like in its entry-level “Allure” finish.
Presented for the first time at the Paris Motor Show 2022, the third generation of the Peugeot 408 is already available to order, with an unprecedented SUV Coupé silhouette in the Peugeot range: it is displayed at prices starting from 37,350 euros.
The 3D configurator available on the official website of the lion brand now allows us to discover what the entry-level version of the new Peugeot 408called “Allure” and fitted with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder PureTech 130 horsepower petrol engine, mated to an eight-speed EAT8 automatic gearbox.
In the Peugeot range, the new 408 is placed rather in the best-off models, since its first level of finish is the “Allure” version, which is usually the third or fourth level of finish of the other models of the French manufacturer.
The style of the new third-generation Peugeot 408 is therefore already well cared for in its entry-level finish, with 17 inch alloy wheels baptized “Silex”, a chrome grille, LED headlights supplemented by oblique LED daytime running lights, not to mention the dark-tinted windows and rear window.
On the color side, the metallic color “Bleu Obsession” launch event is proposed by gradewhile it is necessary to add 640 € for a metallic paint (Titanium Grey, Black Perla Nera or Gray Artense) or 830 € for a special paint (Red Elixir or White Pearl).

Inside, there is a rather neat atmosphere with a tri-material upholstery combining “Fractil” and “Baladin” fabrics with black TEP (imitation leather), all combined with green stitching. The driver and passenger seats are height-adjustable, and the driver’s seat has mechanical lumbar adjustment. As an option at 2,830 euros, you can even opt for a black Nappa leather pack.
Side technologies, almost nothing is missing with the 10-inch Peugeot i-Cockpit digital handset, as well as the 10-inch touchscreen connected infotainment system, complemented by the small screen with i-Toggles (customizable shortcuts). The package is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless compatible, and connected GPS navigation is standard.

On the equipment side, there are extensive standard equipment such as dual-zone automatic climate control, active lane departure warning, automatic high beams, hands-free starting, Safety Pack, Active Safety Brake (automatic emergency braking), Safety Plus Pack and Drive Assist, the reversing camera, as well as the rear parking assistance radars. The hybrid version also benefits from adaptive cruise control.
For a price of 45,450 euros, you can also opt for a plug-in hybrid engine on the entry-level Peugeot 408 Allure: this combines a 1.6-litre PureTech four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor, and develops a maximum power of 180 horsepower for 360 Nm of torque.
