At the entry level, the Peugeot 408 Allure is very well equipped: this finish includes dual-zone automatic air conditioning, active lane departure warning, automatic high beams, hands-free start, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Peugeot i- 10-inch cockpit, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected GPS navigation and i-Toggles, Safety Pack, Active Safety Brake, Safety Plus Pack and Drive Assist, LED headlights, reversing camera and rear radar, or dark-tinted windows and rear screen. Hybrid versions also benefit from adaptive cruise control.
The second level of finish Allure Pack add to this, for an additional 1,350 euros in petrol or 950 euros in hybrid: hands-free access, front parking assistance, adaptive cruise control, panel reading, blind spot monitoring, transverse rear traffic, as well as acoustic laminated front windows.
The most premium version is the finish GT which, for an additional 3,100 euros, adds the Clean Cabin, the Driver Sport Pack, the motorized tailgate with hands-free access, the Peugeot Connect SOS & Assistance, level 2 semi-autonomous driving in the Drive Assist Plus pack, the lane keeping aid, i-Cockpit 3D, Matrix LED headlights, mesh/TEP/Alcantara upholstery and heated leather steering wheel.

The Peugeot 408 offers the choice between 3 engines : a motor 1.2-liter PureTech gasoline engine with 130 horsepoweras well as two motors plug-in gasoline hybridswhich are broken down into 180 and 225 horsepower. All versions are offered with the EAT8 automatic gearbox.
To put it simply, the best choice seems to us to be the 1.2 liter PureTech 130 horsepower. The performances are sufficient on a daily basis, and the consumption is under control, with a value of 6.0l/100km according to the WLTP mixed cycle. The hybrid versions they are good more expensivewith an additional cost of 8,100 euros to access the HYbrid 180 horsepower engine (7,700 euros from Allure Pack), and 9,600 euros for the HYbrid 225 horsepower engine, the latter not being available on the Allure finish.
With its powerful, pleasant and sober engine, and a finish that offers the best of the 408’s standard equipment, the Peugeot 408 Allure Pack PureTech 130 EAT8 should attract the majority of its potential customers.
Even if the range of the 408 offers more accessible or, on the contrary, more powerful and complete versions, this configuration will ensure you a happy medium, with a good compromise between a well-equipped model and a measured budget.
