A Ferrari 512BB” Koenig Special » just left for 126,500 euros at auction

To tell the truth, this 512 BB is not a preserved model as originally produced by Ferrari. The latter having made a fortune in the printing industry, he allowed himself to buy several luxury cars. And then it began tuning activityone of the most famous in the world in the 1970s and 1980s.

It all started with the purchase of a Ferrari 365 GT4 BB. He had also tested himself on a Ferrari 512 BB, precisely the one that has just been sold at auction. The final result was issued in 1978, in the UK. What emerged was a Ferrari painted in an Argento Silver colorwith a style interior ” Blu Novola Connoll » in leather.

A historical piece reminiscent of the 1980s

The original design of the Ferrari 512 BB had nevertheless been preserved as well as possible. After 1978, the model was modified again in the 1980s. A complete Koenig Specials body kit was added to it. This includes an enlarged rear and NACA-style ducts. Above all, the car has been embellished with a bumper with air blades and four rather imposing fog lights.

The vehicle sold here had already driven nearly 40,000 kilometres. However, its condition remains immaculate. Only, its mileage and the fact that it is a modified Ferrari certainly helped to lower its price compared to the standard Ferrari 512 BBs.
