Nothing is impossible ! At least for the pilot Bartosz Ostalowski. Amputated with both arms in 2006 following a serious motorcycle accident, the Pole recently entered his name in the famous Guinness Book of records ! He actually made and drift at the impressive speed of 231.66 km/h over 50 m with an angle of 30 degrees! To manage to maintain such speed when sliding, he had to initiate the skid of his machine at nearly 280 km/h! And what a machine!

A monster of 1,000 hp and 1,200 Nm of torque!

To achieve his feat, Bartosz Ostalowski was not driving just any machine. His weapon of the day was none other than a BMW M3 E92 very extensively modified! And for good reason, the German V8 has given way to an American block developing a whopping 1,000 hp and 1,280 Nm of torque! It must be said that this LS3 engine measures no less than 7 liters! Almost twice the original BMW engine displacement! All that cavalry is sent only to the rear wheels, obviously.

A true force of nature

Bartosz Ostalowski is definitely not a driver like the others. Despite his disability, he competes in the Polish championship of drift. In the same way as the other pilots with all their motor skills. And that’s not all ! His car may be equipped with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, but it is Bartosz Ostalowski who changes gears himself thanks to a harness placed at the level of his right shoulder. This force of nature is a real inspiration which proves that nothing is impossible!
