Kia recorded a sales record in France in 2022, with 46,226 registrations in total over the year, including 54.5% of electified models.

“Our internal indicators reveal that the Kia brand has reached a new dimension, in 2022, with the general public and professionals, both in image and notoriety. Our success in France does not stop there, because despite our sales and market share records, we have not been able to deliver all of our customers’ orders. But this year, with the gradual return to normal production, we should be able to reach the historic threshold, never before reached, of 50,000 registrations.said on this occasion Marc Hedrich, President of Kia France.

New Kia Sportage is in 2022 the sales bestseller from Kia in France, with 13,480 registrations made, which sets a new record since 2018, when the compact SUV was sold at 10,792 units. The Korean manufacturer is now part of the Top 10 car manufacturers on the French market.

With 12 electrified models in its catalog, Kia offers one of the widest electrified generalist offers on the market: in detail, there are 4 100% electric vehicles (Niro EV, e-Soul, EV6, EV6 GT), 3 hybrid models (Sportage hybrid , Niro hybrid and Sorento hybrid) and 5 plug-in hybrids (Sportage plug-in hybrid, Niro plug-in hybrid, XCeed plug-in hybrid, Ceed SW plug-in hybrid and Sorento plug-in hybrid). In 2022, these electrified models represented 54.5% share of total sales brand, with 24,712 registrations in total.
The 100% electric vehicles of Kia represent 16.2% of your total volume sales, with the Kia e-Soul (472 registrations), the EV6 (3,032 registrations) and the Kia Niro EV (3,979 registrations).
After numerous launches in 2022, the Korean manufacturer is preparing to market the Kia EV9 in the second half of 2023, a large family SUV based on the E-GMP platform which is also found on the Kia EV6.
