It is becoming more and more difficult to deal with the many scams and other extortion attempts these days. And for good reason, the thugs redouble their imagination to extract money from us without our knowledge, and unfortunately we often fall into the trap. We think in particular of the Crit’Air sticker scam, but also of the many tricks put in place by thieves, such as the gold scam on the side of our roads. But the one we are talking to you about today is still a little different, and above all, it has just been released. And it is not always easy to prevent it. We tell you everything.

This information comes to us directly from theNational Agency for the Authorized Treatment of Offenses (ANTAI), who has just discovered this new scam. This takes the form of an SMS, sent to motorists and warning them that they have supposedly forgotten to pay for their parking. They then receive a message stating that ” you have a late payment of €35, file reference XXXXXXXX. Consult my offense file via: https://dossier-antai.gouv.info“. At first glance, nothing alarming. Except that it is important not to click on this link, which is a fake.

Indeed, this URL will then lead you to a site asking you to pay for this parking delay. But if you do, the money will go straight to the crooks. It should indeed be known that theTHOUGH will not send you an SMS to warn you of an infringement, but always a letter. It is then up to you to go to the amendes.gouv.fr website to settle what you owe. The agency states that the only SMS sent for the payment of fines concern immediate payment during a verbalization made by a police officer in the field“. So there is no reason to receive a message out of nowhere.
