The Toyota group (Toyota and Lexus) publishes its sales figures in France for the whole of 2022, with 113,032 vehicles registered in total.
In 2022, the Toyota group in France registered on the French market 113,032 vehicles for both brands Toyota and Lexuswhich obtain a market share of 6.8% on passenger cars, an increase of 0.7% compared to 2021.
The Toyota group also remains the leader among foreign brands in sales of used vehicleswith 65,241 vehicles sold by Toyota Occasions, and 4,367 by Lexus Préférence.
On the brand side Toyotatotal registrations of passenger and commercial vehicles increased by 3.6% in 2022, with a total of 109,776 copies. Toyota becomes the fifth best-selling brand in France, and obtains the best market share in its history on the passenger car market, with 6.6%, an increase of 0.8 points.
Toyota’s bestsellers in 2022 are the Yaris Hybrid and Yaris Cross Hybrid, accounting for 48% of total sales volume. The new Aygo X registered 10,313 registrations, i.e. a market share of 12.7% in the A segment. compared to 2021.

On the brand side Lexuswe count 3,256 registrations in France in 2022, a figure down sharply by 31% compared to 2021, due to current supply difficulties.
Customers then fell back on used vehicles, with 4,367 used Lexus Préférence models sold in 2022, an increase of 10% compared to 2021. The Japanese premium brand is still recording record profitability, and an electrified mix by 93%.

At Toyota, sales of used vehicles to individuals increased in 2022, with 65,241 used Toyota vehicles sold, an increase of 7% compared to 2021. On the spare parts side, the Toyota group and its two brands recorded a record year, with revenue of 177 million euros, up 16% compared to 2021.
