Suzuki eVX: a 100% electric SUV concept

The Japanese manufacturer has just unveiled a new 100% electric SUV concept car at the New Delhi Motor Show in India: the Suzuki eVX.

It is on the sidelines of the Auto Expo in New Delhi, India, which will open its doors to the public from January 13 to 18, 2023, that Maruti Suzuki has just lifted the veil on a brand new concept car, called Suzuki eVX : and 100% electric urban SUVwhich foreshadows a future production model.

Suzuki eVX: a 100% electric urban SUV

Suzuki is a well-known brand for its SUVs, such as the S-Cross or the Vitara, a real precursor in the field since it was launched more than 30 years ago. And even if the information has not yet been officially confirmed by Suzuki, it seems that the Suzuki Vitara is about to be replaced by a 100% electric version.

4.3 meters long, 1.8 meters wide and 1.6 meters high, the Suzuki eVX eVX is a 100% electric urban SUV concept, which heralds the arrival of the very first 100% electric model world of the Japanese brand, resulting from Suzuki’s know-how in terms of SUVs and 4×4, and which already promises “A true Suzuki driving experience”.

Suzuki eVX: imposing styling

On the look side, the Suzuki eVX displays imposing and sculpted lines, with a front end whose X-shaped light signature is reminiscent of the latest Citroën productions. Its design has been designed to optimize its aerodynamic performance, with solid rims, camera mirrors and flush door handles. Suzuki, on the other hand, did not reveal any images of the interior.

According to the Japanese firm, the Suzuki eVX concept incorporates the innovations of the latest generations of 100% electric vehicles. The model is based on a new platform dedicated to electric carsand equipped with a all-wheel drive. According to rumors, this platform was designed in collaboration with Toyota.

Suzuki eVX: 550 km range

Under its bonnet is a 100% electric motor, powered by a 60 kWh batterywhich should offer him a autonomy of 550 km according to the Indian MIDC homologation cycle. Suzuki did not specify the origin of this battery, but the Indian specialized media indicate that it could be supplied by BYD, and that a smaller version of 48 kWh would also be there.

The production version of the Suzuki eVX will be marketed by 2025. Its production will be carried out in India, in a brand new Maruti Suzuki factory, which will ensure export to the whole world, including Europe.
