This takes place in Île-et-Vilaine. A gendarme, whose identity has not been revealed, recently had his driving license canceled by the prefecture. A decision recently confirmed by the Administrative Court of Rennes. But how is this done? Well, the peacekeeper in question would have been flashed without his knowledge by a radar located in the town of Luitré-Dompierre, on the departmental road that connects Vitré to Fougères. But it is not the only reason. Indeed, several speeding tickets had already been recorded by this turret radar, and the gendarme then discovered that his balance of points was zero.

A confirmed decision

Yet theinvalidation of his license would never have been notified to him as he certifies himself. Defending himself without a lawyer, the accused then claimed not to know that a speed camera was present at that location and challenged the cancellation procedure, of which he had never been informed. This was not enough to convince the judge, who therefore confirmed the sentence. A decision strongly criticized by the principal concerned, who affirms that ” the decision (…) is seriously and immediately detrimental to my personal and professional situation: I am a police officer and I absolutely need my driving license. »
