The National Interministerial Observatory for Road Safety (ONISR) announces a stability in the number of road deaths in Metropolitan France compared to last year.
Road safety has just revealed the number of deaths linked to road accidents in February 2023. The figure is stagnating but a few things should be noted.
In France, 217 people died in a road accident in February 2023 according to road safety. This figure has remained stable, with 216 deaths on the roads last year (+1 death).
At the same time, there has been a slight drop in the number of seriously injured (-3% compared to February 2022)with 973 people concerned. The trend over the last three months (December-January-February) is also down compared to the same months a year ago. In fact, the number of fatalities is lower by -7% and the number of seriously injured is lower by -5%.
