Road safety has just revealed the number of deaths linked to road accidents in February 2023. The figure is stagnating but a few things should be noted.
At the same time, there has been a slight drop in the number of seriously injured (-3% compared to February 2022)with 973 people concerned. The trend over the last three months (December-January-February) is also down compared to the same months a year ago. In fact, the number of fatalities is lower by -7% and the number of seriously injured is lower by -5%.

Finally, the report mentions a change in the composition of the panel mentioned by road safety. Indeed, the number of motorists killed fell by 12% while the number of pedestrians killed increased by 23%. The number of senior fatalities is also up 19%.
