Lamborghini wraps up another prosperous year. In 2022, Lamborghini broke several records, both in terms of cars sold and turnover and profitability. The Italian firm also confirms full electrification of its range by the end of 2024including new Huracan and Urus plug-in hybrids.

Last year, Lamborghini delivered 9,233 cars delivered over the twelve months (+9.8% compared to 2021), achieved a turnover of 2.38 billion euros (+22%) and an operating margin of 25.9%.

All is well for Lamborghini

Going into a little more detail, we discover that the Urus remains the undisputed king of the range, with 5,367 deliveries worldwide (+7%), followed by the Huracan up 20% and the Aventador, which ended its career in September 2022.

• Lamborghini Urus : 5 367 (58.1 %)
• Lamborghini Huracan: 3 113 (33.7%)
• Lamborghini Aventador : 753 (8,2 %)

The main market for Lamborghinis remains the United States, followed by China and Germany, all of which are growing.

• United States: 2,721 (+10%)
• China, Hong Kong and Macau: 1,018 (+9%)
• Germany: 808 (+14%)
• UK: 650 (+15%)
• Japan: 546 (+22%)

A hybrid range by the end of 2024

Lamborghini also confirms its desire to electrify the entire range, starting with the V12 of the heiress of the Aventador, which will be “the first step towards the hybridization of the entire model range, which will be completed by the end of 2024”.

This is an investment of 2.5 billion euros by 2028, the largest ever made by Lamborghini, which will also include the arrival, by 2024, of of the plug-in hybrid Urus and the future Huracan at the end of 2024.

For the first 100% electric Lamborghini, it will have to wait until 2028. It will be a pure sports car and it will be followed in 2029 by a 100% electric SUV intended to replace the Urus.
