Volvo’s electric performance division has just unveiled a new special series of the Polestar 2, baptized BST Edition 230 : it will be limited to only 230 copies.

Based on the same base as the Polestar 2 BST Edition 270, unveiled last summer, this new version Polestar 2 BST Edition 230 focuses on performance, with a new livery : customers can opt for the exclusive “Nebula” green body color, or a more classic “Space” black, contrasting with a matte black decorative strip which runs through the entire body.

Inside, there are unique design elements covered in MicroSuede textile, partially designed in Recycled Nubuck : a material found on the seats as well as the steering wheel insert.

“BST” is the contraction of the English “beast”, which means “the beast”: a name that announces the color… Compared to an ordinary Polestar 2 Dual Motor, this BST Edition 230 version is more efficient: it develops in effect 476 horsepower for 680 Nm of torquei.e. 68 horsepower and an additional 20 Nm.

This cavalry allows him to swallow the 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 secondsfor a maximum speed of 205 km/h: figures similar to the BST Edition 270 version launched in 2022.

Polestar 2 BST Edition 230: sporty mechanics

THE chassis modifications are also similar to last year’s “270” version, with 25mm lower ground clearance, model-specific Öhlins bi-directional adjustable shock absorbers, front strut bar, 20% stiffer springs, as well as as specific black 21-inch alloy wheels, inspired by those of the Polestar 1 and equipped with Pirelli P Zero 245/35 R21 tires, rubbers developed specifically for the models badged BST Edition.

In total, only 230 copies of the Polestar 2 BST Edition 230 will be produced for the European and North American markets. Orders are already open on the brand’s website since today, and the first deliveries are expected for the third quarter of 2023.
