This stripped-down Alpine is the work of Belgian sculptor Arne Quinze, who wanted through it to represent the link that can exist between a car and speed, between the driver and his car, between man and machine.
Since 2012, Renault has undertaken to accelerate the development of its Alpine brand, which was revived by the promises of Carlos Ghosn to revive the brand, created in 1955 by Jean Rédélé. They were taking life in 2017, with the arrival of the new A110, a modern reinterpretation of the 60s berlinetta. Since the arrival of Lucas di Meo and the presentation of the Renaulution plan two years ago, the Alpine brand has grown in importance within the Renault group.
It must eventually embody sportsmanship and become the premium division of the group. As proof of this orientation, Renault F1 Team has been replaced by Alpine in Formula 1. The Renault Sport division will now take care of the diamond sports models. They will wear the Alpine badge. The transition to electrification is necessary for the future of the brand. So we already know that the next A110 will be 100% electric. An electric SUV is also on the program, as is a sports version of the next electric Renault 5.
Berlinetta fans can be reassured, the current thermal is not going to stop immediately ! Alpine regularly keeps it at the top with several limited editions or sports variants. Recently, we discovered the A110 R, developing 300 horsepower and lightened to its maximum! Today, the Norman sportswoman is once again talking about her through a very original artistic project: the A110 Metamorphosis. This is an art-car based on a production A110. As their name may suggest, Art Cars are cars developed on the basis of a production model to give it a more artistic, more fanciful side. Sometimes it’s just a special livery, inside as well as outside. But it can be transformations plus lourdes. Which modify the bodywork in depth to give it a different look, even a different silhouette than the original. See instead…

When the Alpine A110 turns into a German sedan
This unique creation is the work of Belgian sculptor Arne Quinze. It will be exhibited at Art Paris, a major exhibition dedicated to contemporary art which is held from March 30 to April 2 in the ephemeral Grand Palais in the capital. Visually, this A110 has been stripped of most of its gimmicks. No more windows, wheels or headlights. Not even a roof or door handles ! This copy looks like an A110 body just out of stamping in Dieppe, and not yet assembled.
She’s supposed to represent the union that exists between a car and speed. Between the driver and his car, between man and machine. Like an explosion that would have taken place on its edge, it is filled with colorful structures with an original shape. Decorations that look like cylinder head gaskets. Or strangely plastic packaging. Your turn to judge. See you this weekend in the heart of the capital if you wish to have the privilege of approaching this curiosity closely!
