Positioned between the HR-V and the CR-V, Honda presents the ZR-V, a hybrid C-segment SUV that will be available in Europe at the end of 2023.
Difficult today to navigate in the range from Honda, between the models presented for the United States, then which will then arrive in Europe, but not necessarily with the same specifications.
The Honda ZR-V was not necessarily immediately planned for the French market. Finally, it will be launched in France next fall and will be positioned between the HR-V and CR-V.
This new compact SUV shares many technical elements with the latest Civic. The ZR-V generally displays fairly classic lines and is distinguished by its front end with a fairly thin grille compared to the latest car productions, and a more dynamic rear end which is generally reminiscent of the second generation Toyota RAV4, particularly in terms of optics. .
Measuring 4.57 meters long, the ZR-V is inserted between the urban SUV HR-V (4.34 meters) and the new CR-V (4.70 meters).
The passenger compartment is not a model of originality, but it is modern and rather ergonomic, with a sleek dashboard and a 9-inch multimedia screen accompanied by a digital instrumentation system based on a 10.2-inch screen. Good point in terms of ergonomics: the air conditioning controls are physical. Honda hasn’t given in to tactile fashion at all.
The rear seats offer plenty of space, especially for knee space, thanks to a wheelbase of 2.65 metres. On the other hand, with a trunk volume of only 380 litersit’s quite small for the C segment of SUVs, even if, in the world of hybrids, the Peugeot 3008 is not really better off with 395 liters announced, against 520 for its thermal counterpart.

Regarding the engine, you will not have a choice. The Honda ZR-V will be offered as a hybrid only, with a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle, direct-injected four-cylinder that develops 184 hp and a torque of 315 Nm.
This is the same engine as the new Honda Civic. This is given for CO emissions2 of 130 g/km and an average consumption of 5.7 l/100 km according to the WLTP cycle.
The prices have not yet been announced and the marketing will begin at the start of the next school year. However, we imagine a base price situated slightly under 40,000 euros.
