Crazed motorist crashes into four vehicles in Los Angeles

Los Angeles was the scene of particularly aggressive driving in early May. The scene was filmed by witnesses.

On May 3, a driver particularly aggressive hit several vehicles with his Ford Mustang, in Los Angeles. The scene, of rare violence, was filmed in its entirety. One of the victims, a man named Paul Sampietro, said to the American media KABC that he noticed the suspect was driving erratically. He then decided to block it until the arrival of the law enforcement.

The driver, completely enraged, backed into the car behind him instead of stopping. He then continued on his way hitting the driver who was taking the video, backed into another car across the street and rammed into a small truck. In total, he entered four vehicles in a row, leaving behind him a scene worthy of a pile-up.

A wild scene in Los Angeles

The same witness explained thathe was following the driver for some time now before taking the video. “He was stopped at the traffic light, looking at his phone, and when he drove off, he went through the traffic light almost hitting cars in Ventura (…) I followed him because I was going in the same direction”did he declare. “I then noticed that he was driving wildly and almost bumping into people until he finally ran over someone. I pulled over and cornered him so he couldn’t run away”.

After hitting a plumber’s truck and a box truck, the suspect crossed a median strip, backed into a black Porsche, then into another car. According Los Angeles police, several people were slightly injured and had to be treated on the spot. Four cars – in addition to the Mustang – were ultimately implicated.

“He didn’t look like he was drunk”

“He seemed to be stressed”recalled Mr. Sampietro. “He didn’t look like he was drunk. But his driving was dangerous. He was after everyone, so maybe he didn’t really know what he was doing.”. In the meantime, another witnessJohn Crawford, shared a surveillance video that showed another angle of the scene.

This last witness pointed out that he had never seen scenes as violent as this, although he has been working in the neighborhood for now thirty years. “It wasn’t an accident, it was more like very aggressive driving. It was very disturbing. I’ve never seen so much aggression.”. The police eventually arrested the suspect, a 22-year-old man. However, he was released on bail.
