If the DB11 was the cornerstone of Aston Martin’s revival in 2016, seven years later, it is the turn of its successor, the DB12, to take on this role.

The new GT from the Gaydon firm will be presented May 24thand in the meantime, Aston Martin is releasing new details about its car.

In the purest tradition of the DB range

The new Aston Martin DB12 “will define the next generation of luxury sports cars”. According to the brand, the DB12 will be characterized by “prodigious performance, segment-leading driving dynamics and extensive integration of new technologies and iconic DB styling”.

These statements are quite “generic”, to be honest, but they give an idea of ​​the importance that Aston Martin places on its new GT, which should still be available in coupe and convertible versions.

We will have to wait a few more days to know what the new DB12 will look like, but the latest photos published already give serious clues about the silhouette of the car. The DB12 will generally retain the typical style of the brand’s models, with a long bonnet, sensual lines and a very muscular rear part with rather thin lights.

No electrification on the program

Inside, we expect a brand new infotainment system that could be of Mercedes origin, but of a new generation even if we should not find the bases of the new MBUX system, a system exclusively reserved for the starred firm.

Under the hood, no surprise, we should find the famous 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMGwith more than 510 hp under the hood. The V12 will not miss the calland the car should develop more than 640 hp with such a motorization.
