McLaren introduced the 765LT Spider, based on the 720S, almost two years ago. Although the latter has officially left the catalog, the British firm has not yet finished production of the convertible version.

The last customer to take delivery of his 765LT Spider was none other than Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, who ordered one of only 765 produced. As you can see from the images, the car has some unique details made by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), including many carbon fiber elements.

A truly unique car

The delivery of the car was immortalized by a video, posted by McLaren Automotive on YouTube, in which we see the 23-year-old driver go to the headquarters of the firm in Woking.

Regarding the exterior, Lando Norris’ McLaren 765LT receives a special blue paintwork with a carbon fiber weave, combined with contrasting yellow brake calipers: a unique color combination, which can also be found on its helmet in competition.

Inside, the driver has chosen to embroider the “LN” logo on the headrests, while a special aluminum plate engraved with the inscription that the car was “commissioned exclusively for Lando Norris by MSO”without revealing the serial number.

Powerful and fast

As a reminder, the McLaren 765LT, as its name suggests, develops the trifle of 765 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque thanks to its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. The performances are obviously simply insane with a 0 to 100 km/h announced in 2.8 secondsa 0 to 200 km/h in 7.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 330 km/h. The performance is practically similar to that of the coupé.

The 765LT Spider also received some improvements compared to a 720S Spider that it uses as a base, such as the suspensions, which become even firmer. The front tracks have been widened while the ride height has been further lowered.
