That’s it, the modernized version of the new AC Cobra has finally arrived! After presenting us with 3D renderings and revealing some information about it, AC Cars finally lifts the veil on the very real final model! And the least we can say is that the result does not disappoint, quite the contrary.

Look d’antan

The lines of its bodywork have undeniably remained frozen in time, only a few small details have been modernized. The materials used for their current! Almost all of her dress was made of carbon fiber. Its chassis was made of aluminum. As a result, its 4.2 m long, 2 m wide and only 1.3 m high weigh a total of only 1,450 kg on the scale.

Technologies modernes

In the passenger compartment, the situation is more or less the same. We immediately recognize the dashboard of the roadster of yesteryear with all its central counters. This time, however, many details have been modernized like the buttons, the seats or the steering wheel. Behind it also hides a small “digital translucent” display. It allows the driver to have speed and engine speed directly in view. Speaking of screen, this remodeled AC Cobra also hides a real 10.25-inch infotainment system under its dashboard21^e century requires.

A 5-liter V8 and a manual transmission!

That’s all very well, but we suppose that what interests you most is to know precisely what is hidden under his hood, not true ? Well yes, it is indeed a V8! A block of 5 liters signed Ford which can remain atmospheric or be equipped with a compressor. In the first case, it displays 460 hp and 570 Nm of torque. But in the second, his overeating allows him to develop a total of 663 hp and 780 Nm of torque to reach 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds! (Very) fast. These two mechanics can be accompanied by a 10-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission! Alleluia !

Nearly €325,000

No doubt you suspect it, but this Cobra GT Roadster is far from free… AC Cars is indeed claiming the tidy sum £285,000 for one copy, i.e. nearly €325,000 at the current exchange rate. Ouch… On the other hand, there is “good news”: the production of the sports car will not be limited in number! That said, it should still not run the streets, first because of its price, but also because the manufacturer plans to assemble only 250 per year.
