We knew about steam, petrol, diesel… but did you know that beer could be used to power a motorcycle ? It’s’invention which Ky Michaelson has come up with and which is quite impressive.

According to its inventor, it is a first in the world. No one had ever created a motorcycle that ran on beer before. What might sound like a joke is actually a very serious project. In addition to running, this motorcycle can reach the speed of 240 km/h. In view of the power released by the bike in the garage, we want to believe it.

Forget the motors, all you need is a keg and beer and a heater to get the liquid up to 300 degrees. Unusual, strange, eccentric… It is difficult to describe this motorcycle since we have never seen one like it. Ky Michaelson is not at his first attempt, he has built a toilet powered by a rocket and a coffee maker powered by a water jet. We therefore suspect that he has a lot of time ahead of him and a great desire to enter the Guinness World Records.

An experiment carried out with his son

In recent years, it is the manufacture of this motorcycle that has occupied most of his time. In his garage, he worked on this machine with his son Buddy. THE 52 liter barrel of beer was stored in the middle of the bike, like an engine.

Inside the barrel, a system heats the beer and causes a large amount of vapor which is ejected from the motorcycle’s exhaust pipe and drives the motorcycle forward with exceptional power. Its operation is simpler than it seems: inside is a heating coil instead of a gasoline engine. The creator says: “One thing about this bike is really different, and I like to be very creative. I wanted to do things that no one has ever done in the past. The price of petrol is very high, I don’t drink, so I can’t think of anything better than using it as fuel”.

The video leaves no doubt about its effectiveness. In view of the reaction when he pours the beer into the engine, we suspect that the 240 km / h can be reached. We only ask to see!
