Maybach is the division of Mercedes dedicated to luxury vehicles, whose mission is to “Creating Extraordinary Moments”. But beyond the refinements of which the luxurious German firm is capable, it sometimes yields to certain much more ordinary tendencies, the latest of which is that of « Black Pack » : it is about modifying all the contrasting elements of a car to adorn them with black, or dark chrome in this case.

This new optional styling pack, dubbed Night Seriesis presented by the manufacturer as being unexpected, modern but also rebellious… But it is Gorden Wagener, Director of Design Mercedes-Benz Group, who says it best: “Night Series is Maybach’s most progressive design package: it’s our already well-known supreme aesthetic, enhanced with exquisite, dark patterns. Our aim was to create an attractive new style, offering a playful sense of rebellion that is unexpected to what you usually see in a Mercedes-Maybach. »

Mercedes-Maybach Night Series : un « Black Pack » optionnel

The “Night Series” option is available on three models of the Maybach range: theEQS SUV 100% electric, the Classe S and the GLS. This pack includes, among other things, dark chrome elementspink gold details, new body colors, a unique rim design, complemented by herringbone interior decor. A start-up animation called “Black labels and backlights” enriches the touch screen of the various models.

On the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV Night Series, the headlights receive a Maybach emblem on rose gold and dark chrome finishes, which can be found in particular on the grille enhanced with dark Maybach stripes, or even the air intakes in the front bumper. The side windows get a thick polished black surround, while there’s a rear spoiler and roof spoiler, as well as a black running board with a dark chrome Maybach emblem.

The EQS SUV with the Night Series Pack is offered in Obsidian Black, Manufaktur Brilliant Diamond White, and an exclusive two-tone Obsidian Black/Mojave Silver paint. Inside, there is an Econyl carpet as well as crystal white or black/black pearl leather upholstery, made up of open-pore chevrons with genuine aluminum pilasters.

Mercedes-Maybach Night Series: many neat details

On the Mercedes-Maybach Classe S Night Series, there are several gray, black and white body colors, as well as an exclusive two-tone Onyx Black / Mojave Silver, contrasting with details such as rose gold in the headlights, or dark metallic chrome elements, which complement the two tailpipes in dark chrome and black. On board, there is also a choice of Black Pearl or Deep White/Black Manufaktur leather upholstery, complemented by shiny Golden Gray piping.

On the Mercedes-Maybach GLS Night Series, there is a front end with dark chrome elements: a vertical Mercedes star on the hood, grille, inserts and Maybach motif in the side air intake. The headlights feature subtle rose gold details, while the profile is embellished with several dark chrome accents, as well as an extendable running board in dark anodized. The exclusive 23-inch wheels feature a unique Maybach motif. In terms of colors, customers can opt for white, Obsidian Black, as well as a two-tone Obsidian Black/Mojave Silver livery, not to mention two black or white interior trims on board.

The Night Series pack will soon be released on the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, followed by the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV when launched, while the Mercedes-Maybach GLS will be served by the start of 2024. of derivative products signed Maybach Icons of Luxury and inspired by the Night Series pack will soon be available, with bags, sneakers or glasses.
