A promotional operation

Some associations for the defense of motorists have asked the government to make a gesture, such as lowering the VAT to 5.5%. For the record, this is currently displayed at 20%, while the various taxes represent 60% of the price per liter in total. But the State does not seem determined to act, and does not plan to put in place the slightest discount. Instead, he asks distributors to make an effort and help their customers. What Casino is already doing with its €1 fuel, but not only. Indeed, this is also the case for Leclerc supermarkets. The latter have indeed relaunched their fuel operation at cost price this summer.

How to take advantage of it?

From this Friday and for the whole weekend, as well as that of next week, all Leclerc supermarkets offer this promotional offer. But how to take advantage of it? In fact, you will have absolutely nothing to do. The discount is automatically deducted from the price paid at the pump. But what is the cost price? It is simply the amount without the distributor’s margin, which agrees not to charge it during this operation. This represents about 2 to 3 cents per litre. But it still saves some money. Attention, the operation will end on August 13th.
