The Germans at ABT Sportsline unveil a preparation for the new Audi RS 3, which allows it to develop nearly 500 horsepower!
ABT Sportsline is a company specializing in the preparation of models of the Volkswagen group, and more specifically of the Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, Cupra, Škoda and Lamborghini brands.
The German preparer has just unveiled a preparation for the new Audi RS 3both mechanically and aesthetically, and compatible with the Sportback and Sedan versions of the most powerful Audi A3.
The key element of the preparation is the technology called ABT Power R Performance: an electronic unit that provides the 2.5 TFSI engine of the Audi RS 3 (Saloon and Sportback) with a power of 485 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque.
This represents an increase of 85 horsepower and 60 Nm of torque over the stock configuration. Last year, the ABT Sportsline teams had already made headlines with a preparation called “ABT Power S” on the Audi RS 3 Sportback, which was already developing 460 horsepower: this new “R Performance” version will therefore even further.
The Audi RS 3 Sportback thus prepared by ABT Sportsline swallows the 0 to 100 km/h in 3.45 secondsor 0.35 seconds better than the original version, which already displays a time of 3.8 seconds.
This preparation for the new Audi RS 3 is also compatible with theapplication mobile myABTwhich provides an overview of the vehicle’s performance data, but also activates an optional unclamping of the maximum speed of the vehicle, making it possible to reach 300 km/h.
ABT Sportsline also offers suspension optimisations, with ABT suspension springs, sports coilovers and sports anti-roll bars.
Aesthetically, there are also black rims shiny 20-inch ABT GR wheels, dressed in 245/30 R20 tyres, not to mention personalization modifications for the interior such as steering wheel paddles and carbon seat covers, or even ambient lighting projecting the ABT logo on the ground when opening the doors.
