The Rimac Nevera is the fastest new production electric car on the Nürburgring. It is ahead of the Tesla Model S Plaid.
The Rimac Nevera continues to collect records in 2023. The Croatian supercar is the new queen of the Nürburgring in the electric car category, with a time of 7:05.298 completed the Nordschleife and its 20.832 kilometers. The Nevera thus completed the lap in 20 seconds less than the Tesla Model S Plaid with its Track Pack and established last June.
The record was recorded on Friday August 18, and Rimac took the opportunity to present the Time Attack version of Sa Neveraan exclusive edition celebrating his record on the German track.
The record was set by Croatian driver Martin Kodric in a production car fitted with Michelin Cup 2 R tyres. Telemetry was provided by TUV SUD, while the time was recorded by an independent body.
The electric supercar 1 914 ch had already made headlines last April, when she broke 23 records in a single day at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP). In July, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, it also clocked 49.32 seconds and took the best time for a production electric car.
To celebrate this year of success, the first of 12 Time Attack versions was delivered at Monterey Car Week. All models are of course already sold.
The paintwork of this first Nevera delivered is the same as that which set the record at the Nürburgring. It is a “Lightning Green” shade, which echoes in particular the BMW M3 transformed into electric and belonging to Mate Rimacthe president and founder of the brand.
The Time Attack version is also characterized by the metallic “1 of 12” plate affixed to the seats, as well as by the black Alcantara upholstery which can be combined with a whole series of customizable details.
