For sale: a former US Secret Service Cadillac limousine

This sale concerns one of the most original vehicles: a limousine which served for the American secret services.

Here is an auction of one rare originality ! Usually, these sales involve cars sought after by collectors, ranging in value from less than 10,000 euros to several million euros. But this time it concerns the sale of a limousine from american secret service.

It is unlikely that an individual has ever had the idea of ​​buying such a vehicle. No estimate is given by the company in charge of the sale, Mecum Auctions, but, in any case, this auction will have the merit of originality. The limo in question is a Cadillac which was used under the presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush.

The limousine in question is more exactly a Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood. This series was designed and produced between 1977 and 1984. The limousines in this series all sport a square body characteristic of this period. On the performance side, however, they were not used to make bursts of speed. A V8 engine of 7.0 liters gives them enough power to move forward.

Most interesting is the story of the limo sold. The American secret services had decided to order a number of them from Cadillac. These specific models have been customized by the US administration. They have all been painted black and carry two flags. Several gadgets have been added, such as a mermaid.

She was used between 1984 and 2005, after serving in the US Army. Since then, it has nevertheless belonged to an unknown owner. The motivations of the latter to have bought it are also just as secret. Is it a fan of objects that belonged to the secret services? Anyway, he put it back on sale.
