Fuel at cost

Indeed, the government categorically refuses to put in place any discount and other assistance for drivers. The latter explains that it is now up to distributors to make efforts by reducing their margins. This is how some have decided to launch promotional offers, such as Casino, while TotalEnergies caps its prices at 1.99 euros. For its part, Leclerc relaunched its “fuel at cost price” operation at the start of the summer holidays. If it was initially to end on August 13, the distributor has decided to extend it a little bit, in the face of strong customer demand.

How to take advantage of it?

This operation will therefore be offered this weekend. from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 August, for the very last time of the summer. Since the beginning of the holidays, the supermarket offered this offer every weekend. But how to take advantage of it? In fact, it’s very simple, you won’t have to do anything at all. Indeed, the discount is already deducted from the price you will pay at the pump. The distributor will simply cut back on its margin, which equates to a discount of around 2 to 3 centimes per litre. Which is little but still appreciable in this period of growth.
