Mercedes lifts the veil on its restyled EQA, its 100% electric crossover which can now, in its 250+ version, reach up to 560 km of autonomy on a single charge.
The cheapest new electric car in the Mercedes range is renewed slightly, only two years after its arrival on the market. This update focuses mainly on the front part, with a new gloss black bumper, while depending on the finish chosen, the star is black or chrome and is accompanied by LED lighting that crosses the entire face. Before.
The facelifted EQA changes slightly at the rear too, with a redesigned shield and a new LED light signature. The colors “Starling Blue” and “Cirrus Silver” have been added to the catalog.
Inside, the ergonomics of the infotainment system have been revised, with a new control layout. Wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is still branded, as is voice assistance, which has been further refined and can still ‘learn’ your habits.
The Mercedes EQA is also equipped with new sensors and new cameras that improve the operation of driving aids, such as active lane keeping assistance, as well as the 360° system which allows maneuvering with peripheral vision.
The engines available remain the same, with 250+, 300 4Matic and 350 4Matic versions, the first being equipped with a single engine and the last two with two electric units. The powers are respectively 190, 228, and 292,
The Mercedes EQA has the possibility of charging up to 100 kW in direct current and it also benefits from the Plug & Charge functions, which avoids having to go through authentication. All you have to do is plug in your car and charging takes place on its own. The WLTP autonomy of the 250+ is 560 km, i.e. 30 km more than the “old” 250 version which is no longer in the catalog today. A new “economy” function ensures better energy management.
Prices have not yet been announced, but they should be around the claimed 47,000 euros in base price. Deliveries will take place within the next few months.
