Restyled Mercedes EQB (2023): a very advanced restyling

Two years after its release, Mercedes is already renewing its seven-seater electric SUV: the EQB. On the program, some aesthetic changes, but above all several technological improvements.

Launched in 2021, it is already time for the Mercedes EQB to go through the restyling box. As you can see, and as very often with Mercedes, restylings are hardly noticeableat least aesthetically speaking.

This aesthetic update focuses mainly on the front end, with a new gloss black shield that gives the car a little more personality. Depending on the finish chosen, the star is black or chrome and, on all models, it is accompanied by LED lighting that crosses the entire front part.

The facelifted EQB also features redesigned rear bumpers and a new LED rear light signature. The colors “Starling Blue” and “Cirrus Silver” have been added to the color chart.

Simplified menus

Inside, the ergonomics of the screens have been completely revised and with a new arrangement of commands that avoids getting lost between menus to activate a function. In addition, wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is ensured, as is voice assistant confirmation, which has been further refined.

The Mercedes EQB is also equipped with new sensors and new cameras which improve the operation of the various driving assistance devices such as the active lane keeping assistance, as well as the 360° system which makes it possible to maneuver with peripheral vision.

Still as enduring

The available powertrains remain the same. The range still consists of the 250+, 300 4Matic and 350 4Matic versions, the first being equipped with a single motor and the last two with two electric units.

The powers remain respectively 190, 228, and 292, with the possibility of charging up to 100 kW in direct current. The WLTP autonomy of the 250+ is 536 kmwhile the four-wheel-drive variants remain at 448 km.

Prices have not yet been announced, but they should be around the claimed 47,000 euros in base price. Deliveries will take place by the end of the year.
