According to a recent study, buyers of Ferrari and Lamborghini supercars are getting younger and younger.
Buying a sports car is the ultimate dream for many motorists and enthusiasts. Unfortunately, it is not as obvious as that, especially for those who wish to acquire a new model. Indeed, prices are constantly increasing, but above all, the ecological penalty is increasingly high. It will even soon be uncapped, whereas it is currently limited to 50,000 euros, or half the price of the car. So what about when it comes to supercars ? Because for ordinary mortals, these cars will always remain inaccessible. But for some, it’s a dream come true, and sooner and later.

If traditional manufacturers are hit hard by the crisis, this is not really the case for luxury brands. Indeed, Ferrari, for example, recorded no less than 631 million euros in profit, with a margin of more than 90,000 euros per car. At the house of Lamborghini, it is also somewhat the same story with 85,377 euros per vehicle. But this is not the only data that interests us here. Indeed, we are also discovering that the customers of these brands are getting younger and younger. Indeed, 30% of new Ferrari buyers are under 40 years old.
On the Lamborghini side, the average age turns rather around 45 years old, which remains young compared to what was done a few decades earlier. The boss of the firm explains that “these are young millionaires who do not want to be fashionable. Trends, they are the ones who create them with brands that offer them something different”. The two manufacturers are also attracting more and more women, even if they do not necessarily want to do more volume than before to keep a certain exclusivity.
